Brewing Instructions

  • For every gallon, use 1 cup of honey (or agave) and 5 Teaspoons of Green, oolong, or black tea
  • boil water and steep tea (3-4 cycles)
  • dissolve honey (or agave) into tea
  • Add cool water to bring below 80 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Pour into a jar (with 20% of finished kombucha as starter), add scoby on top
  • Add water to the jar fill line
  • brew at room temperature for 5-7 days (or until pH < 3.5)
  • Remove Scoby, and strain into container (keep 20% for as starter for next brew)
  • Store in finishing Bottles, refrigerate for 1-2 days
